"maybe I should say I'm thinking about what it concerns instead of what it's about. anyways, it has st to do w the difficulty in imagining a better future, on whatever scale, given the forces of manufactured privilege, prejudice, inequality, seemingly reasonable centrism, etc etc, that try to prevent people from meaningfully doing so; and the feeling that, even ground down, there's a sense that it's still important work to do, and yet there's also doubt, and a sense that you can't do it, so how can one bother? but you know that you should, and right now you don't know whether it's beyond you or within your reach. in that sense there's hope, even joy, in possibility, if you allow it to be there."
